CYCLOPS COFFEE REBRAND
Ever get hit with a great late-night idea? This rebrand of my favorite coffee shop, Cyclops Coffee, creates a space where creatives can fulfill those ideas. I reimagined the brand identity from the ground up, introducing a streamlined name, a new location, and extended late-night hours to better serve the creative community.
Enjoy and thank you for taking a look!
SCOPE: Logo redesign, packaging, signage, merchandise, & social assets for Cyclops Coffee.
Cyclops Coffee’s current branding lacks cohesion. While the drinks are great, the identity feels like an afterthought. There’s no clear color system, inconsistent collateral, and a scattered visual presence. The logo and wordmark are stylistically aligned, but beyond that, there's little structure. This rebrand aims to build a unified ecosystem that properly represents the brand.
Paying homage to the name and concept, I used the gaping eye as a double entendre that references both the cyclops and the wide-eyed feeling of caffeine-fueled late nights. Organic shapes in the cup design reinforce the connection between coffee and creativity.
TYPOGRAPHY DIRECTION
The vertical height of Tusker Grotesk gives the wordmark a bold presence that matches the strength of the name CYCLOPS. Trade Gothic balances it out with clean, readable type for supporting text.
The soft peach paired with a cool-toned black gives the café an earthy yet sleek look. The palette creates a calming, familiar atmosphere while offering strong visual contrast.
TARGET DEMOGRAPHIC
The target audience falls squarely within Gen Z. This generation is deeply immersed in aesthetic curation, fashion-forward thinking, and late-night hustle culture. They value intentional design, creative environments, and brands that reflect their identity and pace of life. Whether editing a lookbook at 2am or sketching ideas between classes, they thrive in off-hours and often rely on local cafés as creative spaces. Cyclops is designed to meet them in those moments when inspiration comes along and ideas begin to take shape.
